Adding new dimensions to inverted microscopes

imageNikon incorporated its acclaimed CFI60 optical system into this small-sized inverted microscope. These optics provide flat, sharp, and brilliantly clear images, while achieving longer working distances and higher numerical apertures.
To improve observation under phase contrast microscopy, Nikon developed a series of Apodized Phase Contrast objectives, allowing minute details within a specimen to be observed with excellent contrast and wider tonal ranges.

Simple, strain-free operation
imageThe coaxial coarse/fine focus knob located in front of and close to the operator makes operation at high magnifications easier than ever before.

Efficient, user-friendly stage
The stage features a low-profile design that is 195mm high, making it the ideal size for a lab bench or safety hood. Even cell cultures on the bottom of a tall flask or testing chamber can be viewed, because there is 190mm of space above the stage when the condenser is removed.
Moreover, the acrylic stage ring makes it easy to confirm which objective is being used without removing the specimen from the stage.

Phase contrast microscopy has never been easier, thanks to Nikon's New Apodized Phase Contrast objectives
To improve images under this method, Nikon developed an innovative series of Apodized Phase Contrast objectives. These objectives produce images with excellent contrast and a much wider tonal range, shedding light on minute details within a specimen.

imageModel TS100-F is also available
To accommodate image documentation, Nikon offers a trinocular model as well. The TS100-F comes with a photo port that accepts various photomicrographic systems.

An inverted microscope for routine culture and lab tests

Nikon’s unique Apodized Phase Contrast objectives improve observations of fine structures. In addition to phase contrast, this model supports various microscopy techniques, including epi-fluorescence and HMC.

  • First time the CFI60 CF corrected infinity optics have been introduced in this class of microscope

  • Eyepiece tube angle and eyepoint height are optimally set allowing natural viewing posture either standing or sitting

  • A low, 195mm high stage with a front window where the objective can be viewed

  • Coaxial coarse/fine focus knob for precise focusing even at high magnifications

  • Easily rotated quintuple nosepiece

For brightfield observations
A microscope with excellent cost performance to be used mainly for brightfield observations. It can be upgraded with attachments to perform phase contrast, epi-fluorescence or HMC observations.

For phase contrast observations
Phase contrast imaging methods allow researchers to make observations on unstained and living cultured specimens and cells.

For Hoffman Modulation Contrast R observations.
This is the first inverted microscope for cell cultures which can also perform Hoffman Modulation Contrast (HMC) R imaging. Using the special HMC objective and HMC slider allows brightfield relief contrast imaging with plastic petri dishes, an accomplishment impossible with DIC microscopy. Its configuration is simple and operation easy. (Pictured is the TS100 with binocular eyepiece tube.)

For epi-fluorescence observations
This microscope can perform epi-fluorescence imaging with 12V-50W mercury illumination, which is extremely useful in many situations, such as investigating GFP expression. The microscope can accommodate two filter blocks at once, which enables two types of epi-fluorescence imaging by switching the blocks. B, G, and UV (optional) excitation methods are supported. (UV excitation is performed by removing the UV filter in from the lamphouse.)
