Motorized Stages

BioPrecision2 stages are designed for demanding applications where speed, repeatability and accuracy are required. These stages utilize precision ground crossed roller bearing guideways, recirculating ball leadscrews, and precision motors. All components used in these stages are machined with state of the art CNC equipment resulting in the highest stage performance. All stage components are black anodized for durability and long lasting appearance. A full compliment of specimen holder inserts are available for almost any application including single slides, double slides and petri dishes. Custom holders are available.


Programmable Filter Wheels

The LEP filter wheel provides fast, automated and efficient optical filter changing for microscopes. The filter wheel position is digitally encoded which makes it immune to slippage and skipping errors. Filter positioning errors affect the performance of the micrsocope and add uneccessary variations to the measurement results. The wheel is driven by a DC servo specifically selected for smooth, quiet, damped wheel motion. The LEP filter wheels utilize the MAC 5000 controller system. The MAC 5000 provides high performance and flexibility and is supported with almost any available imaging software application. The filter wheel is designed to be robust and accurate.


Focus Control

The BioPrecision focus control system provides accurate, high resolution automated control of the microscope focus. The basic focus control system consists of a high resolution stepper motor that is coupled to the microscope focus drive. The MAC 5000 automation controller tracks position and provides for manual control through the use of the 73000365 digipot control. A high resolution linear encoder option is available to provide feedback of the actual focus height (not just the focus knob position). The Z-axis linear encoder device has resolution of 50nm, with measurement range of 12mm.
